Family Foundations

Family Foundations offers tools, skills, support, and solutions for families and individuals to benefit by turning financial knowledge into better financial behaviors.

Family Foundations is a leading provider of financial education services to consumers facing financial challenges or just in need of more information. Through our education programs, we introduce families to a wide variety of money management skills.

Certified Financial Counselors provide individual, confidential advice for developing budgets, managing money, using credit wisely and building a savings plan.

Your Financial Counselor will start by reviewing your goals – what you want to achieve in life, you want for your family – so that your counseling is focused on what’s most important to you.

Your Financial Counselor will then review your current situation, offer solutions to your current financial problems as well as personalized plans for preventing financial pitfalls in the years to come. You and your counselor will review your income and your expenses to develop a budget that you can live with.

At Family Foundations, we know that bankruptcy is not an easy choice. Financial problems are one of the leading causes of stress. Family Foundations is here to help. We have been helping thousands of families just like you since 1955. You can count on us to help you make an informed decision about bankruptcy and your financial future.

For individuals and families who are overextended, Family Foundations offers assistance through our Debt Management Plan.

Debt Management is a systematic way to pay down your outstanding debts through monthly deposits to Family Foundations, which in turn distributes these funds to your creditors.  We work with you and your creditors to design a repayment program that is affordable for you and minimizes interest and related fees.

Family Foundations offers a comprehensive education program to prepare you for homeownership. Our 8-hour class is approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for First Time Homebuyer Education.

If you are behind on your mortgage payments, the thought of losing your home can be terrifying. The sooner we can address your problem, the more solutions are available. We will assess your level of delinquency, your ability to maintain future payments and funds available to cure the deficiency.

Learn the basics of the home buying process in a private session with a certified housing counselor. In a one-on-one session, the counselor and you will discuss your goals and challenges and together, you will create an individual action plan with specific steps to reach the goal of successful homeownership.
