SunGard's Responsibilities 
Servers
SunGard owns full responsibility for server
management , monitoring and maintenance. This includes all policy management
and deployment, OS patching, OS upgrades, OS security services and 24/7/365
Tier 1, 2 and 3 support.
Tape Backup and Recovery Procedures
SunGard will provide daily incremental backups and
weekly full saves. Daily backups will be kept for 31 days; monthly will
be vaulted offsite for two months. Service includes any required recovery
procedures.
Networking
SunGard will provide a connection to the Internet through
our redundant path, DS3 connections. We will bill usage at the 95th percentile
of usage on a monthly basis. Customers have the ability to burst to 10
Mbps. Additionally SunGard will provide and monitor the required LAN fabric.
Our LAN is built around Cisco's enterprise class Catalyst 6500 core switches
in a redundant, fail over configuration.
Monitoring
SunGard will monitor the entire environment 24 x 7
x 365. At the systems level we will monitor using the following services:
ping, port response, and Signaling Network Management Protocol (SNAP).
SNAP will be utilized to monitor disk space, processor utilization, memory
utilization and page files used (if applicable). Additionally, SunGard
performs manual checkout procedures a another layer of monitoring to ensure
all components of an application/environment are working properly.
Security
SunGard hosts our customers' environment within our
enterprise class security environment. This environment includes multiple,
redundant enterprise class firewalls to segment security risks from the
Internet and between customers. Additionally, SunGard utilizes multiple
Intrusion Detection probes to identify and prohibit "Uninvited"
guest and malicious code. All of these systems and policies are supported
by SunGard's Security Officer and team.
