CPR Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
Industry Leading Credit Counseling Software
Organization
Taking on Many New Challenges
Dallas, Texas – July
16, 2004 – Cooperative Processing Resources (CPR) will
celebrate its 10 year anniversary at a general meeting of its member
agencies in Orlando, Florida this September. CPR’s success
is attributed to its ongoing ability to provide a wide variety of
quality products and services designed to fulfill its members' growing
information processing needs.
CPR was founded September 4, 1994 by some of the leading
non-profit Consumer Credit Counseling Service agencies in the United
States. During its 10 years, CPR has seen true transformation of
the credit counseling industry through the history and evolution
of their software application. CPR transformed the original software,
written in 1984 in one of the very first real-live database management
software programs with eight modules, into Microsoft Sequel Server
and Visual Basic, with a graphical user interface and more than
40 modules that have been completed to date. The new software product
is called DMS Professional Suite™, which started deployment
in February 2003.
The new application provides Consumer Credit Counseling
agencies a complete set of programs to use for appointment scheduling,
counseling, setting budgets, client financials, and creditor processing
systems. The DMS Professional Suite components are a direct result
of industry requirements and developments.
CPR's Continuing Mission
CPR members have witnessed the higher performance
and accelerations of business computing, which have been incorporated
into the new application. They have also seen a major change in
the power of business computing systems and the way users access
business data. DMS Professional Suite has stepped up to many of
the challenges facing our members, some of which are reflected in
our interfaces with:
- automated interactive voice recognition systems with smart screen
pop-up prompts that guide the user to the caller’s information
- imaging software to reduce paper and storage costs
- EFT and EDI interfaces with MasterCard and Visa as well as other
outsourcing companies
- outsourcing companies for printing services
CPR also assists their members with step-by-step processes
for data conversions, mergers and acquisitions. CPR has completed
many data conversions from different software companies and written
numerous automated programs for merging databases. This step-by-step
process provides CPR members, which have a common foundation with
other Credit Counseling Agencies who share similarities of missions
and values toward customer service, the ability to build united
companies that result in strengthened organizations.
“We are very proud
to have prospered for the last 10 years despite a very competitive
and radically changing industry. We believe the future is very bright
for Cooperative Processing Resources as we move forward to serve
our members. An anniversary is a rare opportunity to leverage the
history of our organizations to set the stage for the future.”

President of Cooperative Processing Resources
About CPR
Cooperative Processing Resources (CPR) is the industry's premiere
Debt Management System (DMS) provider.
We are a Texas Cooperative association that is
owned by a cooperative membership consisting of credit counseling
agencies, both large and small. CPR currently has 54 members in the
United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Working together as a cooperative in order to ensure
continued technical support was the primary reason for creating
CPR. Agencies wanted to work together and have control over the
enhancements and destiny of the DMS Professional Suite software
application. CPR’s ongoing priority is to provide their members
with software improvements and new innovations, fast response to
all industry regulations, on-going training, and technical support
for the software that runs their agencies.
The Cooperative's mandate is to provide quality technology-based
products and services that enhance each member's ability to provide
optimal service to consumers and creditors alike.
